It's the LAST day to turn in my PD (Professional Development) portfolio for a course I'm taking and I'm STILLLL working on it! I must admit, I am a big procrastinator, but I think the pressure helps me to focus! I'm definitely working on it because the stress is not the best feeling in the world!
Yes, while it is summer, teachers still work ;) Next week, over half of our teaching staff will be attending the annual MACC Summer Institute for Educators! This is all voluntary and optional, but soooo many of our dedicated teachers commit their precious time to learning more about Arts Education and how to integrate it into their teaching! New teachers, veteran teachers, classroom teachers, non-classroom teachers, and even teaching Artists from a variety of schools come to attend these amazing series of workshops for 4 days! Any teacher who's attended will tell you that it is so worth while! Can't wait to see what this year has in store for us!
I hope you're all working on those Honu Summer Cards (3rd-5th, 1st-2nd)! Don't forget to post to our Facebook Ohana Page!
